This is a 12"x14"x7" house I built under quarantine and the heat of a seemingly, endless summer. I fashioned it from dreams of houses. (Usually interiors.)
I used materials found around own. Primarily, coffee stirrer sticks, matchsticks, toothpicks wooden skewers synthetic rice paper, and wood glue.
It's comprised of eight sections and illuminated with 100 battery powered l.e.d.s
It is on a wood base, in a custom plexiglass display case, and has several angles photographed.

Born and raised in Indio, California, art and music have been an integral part of Jon's life since early childhood. He's primarily recognized for his surrealist paintings, but also experiments with pen and ink, mosaics, re-purposed materials, wood, and reverse painted plexiglass with L.E.D.s and fiber optics, among others. Much of his work evokes visual observation and commentary, or hidden meaning. His first professional endeavor was a political cartoon for an underground newspaper at the age of twelve.
